Tiger Salad

A crispy, crunchy salad with a bit of a bite.



This is a great salad to accompany any meal. 




A few wonderful ingredients for a great salad. 

You'll need, cucumber, scallions, cilantro, celery, red pepper flakes, toasted sesame seed oil, rice vinegar and toasted sesame seeds (they arrived too late for the photo)



Into a bowl, add the rice vinegar and toasted sesame oil.



Sprinkle in the toasted sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. 



Whisk, whisk then add in the cilantro, 



celery, cucumber



and the scallions. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. 


Sometimes ya just gotta have a hot dog, and this salad accompanied it just perfectly.

Tiger Salad


1 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 bunch cilantro leaves with tender stems; cut into 1/2 inch pieces
4 stalks celery; thinly sliced diagionally
2 small cucumbers or 1/2 large; thinly sliced
6 scallions; thinly sliced diagionally

Whisk vinegar, oil, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Add
cilantro, celery, cucumbers and scallions. Season with salt and pepper and
toss to combine.

Salad can be made 6 hours ahead
