Time for Baker to Vegas Relay Race Again
April 20, 2012
Dang, I can't believe it's been a year already. Last year we had so much fun volunteering to help our team, we had to do it again this year. We drug a couple more friend/co-workers along with us this time.
Marit and I drove over yesterday. (Shelly, Maria and Jason are flying in later) On the way we stopped in Temecula CA for an eggs Benedict breakfast at Baily's Old Town.
Want to see our breakfast and our cool digs in Vegas?
After a coffee toast to our road trip,
we dug into eggs Benedict. The sauce is made fresh, not a mix and is really wonderful, and lemony
About 6 hours later we checked into the hotel.
It's a 772 sq ft one bedroom suite.
This is the living room looking toward the fully equipped kitchen,
and looking from the kitchen into the living room.
That's a queen sofa sleeper with a nice thick comfy mattress.
The bathroom is big, big, with a double sink and seperate shower in one room
and in the adjacent room a jetted spa tub. It's huge and deep and wonderful.
From the bathroom looking into the bedroom
from the bedroom looking into the bathroom.
Not only do we have a fully equipped kitchen, but we have a washer and dryer too.
Not that we are going to do anthing domestic_this_weekend.
After we cooled our heels for a while, we went to P. F. Changs for dinner
Marit was nice enough to use one of her gift cards and treat me to dinner.
I had
Chinese 5 spice duo of duck.
Slow cooked leg and crispy skinned breast served with a sesame watercress salad and a dried cherry-ginger chutney
Marit made her meal of appetizers
Crispy crab wonton
Lettuce wraps of wok seared chicken
Wonton soup
I had never been to a P.F. Changs before, it was very good. Nummie
Now off to more Vegas adventures, I'll keep you posted.
What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas when you're with me.
And that's that
