Cream cheese loaded with onion and bacon, then piped into spicy peperoncini halves.
When you make these, I hope most of them make it to the plate.

Not many of these tacos made it to the plate. They were eaten right off the cutting board as fast as I could make them.
I did get a couple thrown together for a quick plated shot.

Green chili, pork, and a masa made with lard. That's some great tamale fixens to me.
These are two bite tamales. Perfect for cocktail parties and potlucks.

He made a break for it, he ran away from home. The weeds on the other side of the fence were too enticing.
After all, the weeds had little yellow flowers on them that were dancing in the breeze. What's an African Spurred tortoise to do?
Corn tortillas, nonstick cooking spray, spices and a 400*F oven = the best tortilla chips ever.
My co-workers talking me into making tortilla chips to bring into work tomorrow. (like it took a lot ;-)
Here's how I made them.
Spray the tortillas with nonstick spray, I use Trader Joe's olive oil spray. Cut the tortillas into 8 wedges and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the wedges with what ever spices "float your boat," or should I say what ever spices "crisp your tortillas" <I crack myself up>
On some I used sea salt with Mexican spices, and on some I used Aleppo pepper. Bake in a 400*F oven for 10 minutes or until...
lightly browned and crisp.
Dang, nothing beats homemade tortilla chips, and they are soooo easy.
And that's that
I was so surprised when I saw this droopy vine spreading along the fence. Then I thought dang, is that a grape vine?
I googled grape vine images, GIMF <google is my friend> Yippiee!!! I have a grape vine.
We've had a lot of rain this year so all kinds of plants and flowers are popping up all over the place.

A box of Devil's food cake mix, a can of cherry pie filling, 3 eggs, and a teaspoon of vanilla, all mixed up in a bowl. So easy even a caveman can do it. ;-)

This recipe is from The Silver Palate Cookbook. It's so easy and so delicious I have a hard time not eating it, as is, by the spoonful.
But this time I put it on a poached egg that was perched on top of bacon and a multi grain English Muffin.
