Homemade Gorgonzola Dressing
July 26, 2009
I love making homemade Gorgonzola dressing. Not only is it easy, but you can have chunks of cheese in it as big as you want. EEYYYEEESSS. This recipe I got from Nickson, a friend of mine on a cooking group.
It's really good and really easy.
Let's get to mixin' this up.
You need 3/4 cup of mayonnaise.
1/4 cup of sour cream. I make my sour cream by draining yogurt. Just put some yogurt in a cheesecloth lined strainer, put that in a bowl and leave it in the fridge overnight. Next morning you have some nice thick yogurt to use.
1 tablespoon of lemon juice, cayenne pepper to taste and a pinch of white pepper. The recipe calls for dried parsley but I don't have any.
1 teaspoon of onion flakes. I think I added a little more. I crunched them up a little in a mortar.
I got busy talking with Stan and didn't get the, add the clove of garlic shot.
Fold in 3/4 cup of Gorgonzola cheese.
Put in a container then into the fridge to get all happy together.
Thanks Nickson, I love it.
