Aero Garden Harvest

I did a little herb trimming the other day, other than a few snips of the basil I haven't cut any herbs. I think I need to start another garden because I sure don't want to run out of fresh herbs. Maybe I'll throw in a vegetable or two also.

I thought the mint would be something great to shoot with my new macro lens. Hmmmm don't know if I really want to see my food that close up.

Guacamole en Molcajete

I bought some beautiful avocados from a roadside stand. 10 for 5 bucks, is that a deal or what.
The only problem is they are all ripening close to the same time so I decided guacamole was in order.

I got out my beloved molcajete and got to work.

Guac molcajete garlic

I ground up a couple of cloves of garlic with some coarse ground salt. I then coated the bottom of the molcajete with the garlic.

C'mon, lets get messy.

This is an adrenal gland,

this is an adrenal gland on four legs.

Matilda 2 18

Oh don't let those eyes fool you. She can go forward and backward at the same time while chewing on your sneakers.
She can pull her bedding out of her crate and pull the crate across the floor and she's only 2 mos old.

She's a fuzz away from making it up onto the couch in a single bound. She's trying very hard and gives herself a running start, it looks like she'll make it soon. Oh I'm so happy it's not a new couch.

Potty training is going very well. She is really smart, and I'm not just saying that because she's_my_dog.

I'm a Katherine

And am I happy because that's my name. Only I spell it correctly with a C ;-)
It describes me all too well.

What are you, a Jackie a Marilyn or someone else?

You are a Katherine..."I'm happy and open to new things."

Katherine's are energetic, lively and optimistic. They want to contribute to the world.

How to get along with me.

Give me companionship, affection and freedom.
Engage me in stimulating conversation and laughter.
Appreciate my grand visions and listen to my stories.
Don't try to change my style. Accept the way I am.
Be responsible for yourself. I dislike clingy or needy people.
Don't tell me what to do.

What I like about being a Katherine.

Being optimistic and not letting life's troubles get me down.
Being spontaneous and free-spirited.
Being outspoken and outrageous. It's part of the fun.
Being generous and trying to make the world a better place.
Having the guts to take risks and to try exciting adventures.
Having such varied interests and abilities.

What's hard about being a Katherine.

Not having enough time to do all the things I want.
Not completing things I start.
Not able to profit from the benefits that come from specializing; not making a commitment to a career.
Having a tendency to be ungrounded; getting lost in plans or fantasies.
Feeling confined when I'm in a one-to-one relationship.

Katherine's children often

are action oriented and adventurous
Drum up excitement.
Prefer being with other children than being alone.
Finesse their way around adults.
Dream of the freedom they'll have when they grow up.

Katherine's as parents are

often enthusiastic and generous.
Want their children to be exposed to many adventures in life.
May be too busy with their own activities to be attentive.

Posole making day

Tomorrow is posole day at work. I made the posole and my co-workers are bringing the accoutrements and sides. I hope they appreciate me. I drove through snow flurries and pea sized hail, walked in water up to my ankles in and out of the store to get these ingredients. Don't think I won't mention this too ;-) several times.

I didn't bother buying the cabbage and cilantro as we'll have it at work but I sure missed having it in my test bowl tonight.

Wanna make some?...
