Sat. we were talking about how long it's been since we've been to Pinnacle Peak Restaurant in Santee.
It's been too many years to remember. I do remember that if you wear a tie, it better not be your good one because it's coming off. The waitress/er walks up to your table clanging a cow bell announcing to the diners that you wore a tie. Then everyone clamors for her/him to cut it off.

The menu is printed on your doggie bag. There is a plastic bag inside so your leftovers are all neat and tidy.
We each had the 8oz filet. It came with a salad, beans and bread, with your choice of a baked potato or corn on the cob.
The meat was tender and juicy, this is my new favorite place to have steak.
They were nice enough to let me back into the kitchen where the open pit is. This used to be out in the middle of the restaurant. Half the fun of going there was being able to watch the hustle and bustle of the steaks being cooked and the grates being raised and lowered.

They were very, very busy and everyone was so accommodating while I was trying to get some pictures. The waiter/ess were almost crawling on the floor to stay out of my way while I was photographing so I clicked and ran, I was sooo in the way.
Our waitress Sat night was Belle Star, she was efficient and very nice. As busy as she was we were not neglected, she stopped by our table and checked on us several times.
We'll be back for sure.
