A little date syrup mixed with tahini and scooped up with the flat bread of your choice. Be it lavash, naan or a tortilla, this makes a wonderful treat, anytime of the day.
The date syrup-tahini dip is to be mixed to taste. You might want to start out with an equal amount of each then adjust to your taste. I prefer more tahini than syrup.
I didn't have any bread on hand so I decided to try my hand at making naan.

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, sometimes other things crop up that demand more time and energy than I have. As much as I love blogging, unfortunately it had to take a back seat for a couple of weeks.

The other day my beautiful niece Becci posted on Facebook that she wants to lose 20 more pounds before Christmas, she's already lost 30 and is doing just great.
She wanted to know who would like to get on board with her. Like a foo good auntie I'm joining in the weight loss fun. The pounds have been slowly creeping back on and I don't feel good about it.
So starting with this morning's breakfast I made a few little changes.

A few weeks ago there was a calf roping event at a neighboring ranch.
I grabbed my trusty camera, my new lens, sun hat and shades. The sun hat and shades were to hide the fact that I wasn't about to put my makeup on. Hey, it was on a Saturday, early on a Saturday.
