This is an easy peasy, egg less pasta. Use half a pound of flour, half a cup of water then mix mix, roll roll, it's pasta.
This is the first of a two part post. First I made the pasta for lasagna then the lasagna. This post will be just the pasta, next will be the making of the lasagna.Let's get goin' rollin'
Covered and let the dough rest for half an hour. I love these kitchen towels. They are all cotton and nice and big, I get them at Ikea for 79 cents.
I divided the dough ball in half and worked with one half at a time, keeping the other half covered. Lightly sprinkled the counter with flour and rolled out the dough as thin as I could. I wanted nice thin pasta for lasagna.
Looks pretty thin to me.
I trimmed the ragged edges a little so I could get something that resembled lasagna sheets.
I wasn't sure which pan I was going to use for the lasagna so I opted for strips. I just cut the sheet in half then each half in half again.
Gathered up the scraps from the first lasagna sheet and added that to the second ball and got rolling again. I left the lasagna sheets sitting out on the kitchen towel to air dry a little while. Not perfect looking but dang, they made a great lasagna. And that's that.
