I bought some beautiful avocados from a roadside stand. 10 for 5 bucks, is that a deal or what.
The only problem is they are all ripening close to the same time so I decided guacamole was in order.
I got out my beloved molcajete and got to work.
I ground up a couple of cloves of garlic with some coarse ground salt. I then coated the bottom of the molcajete with the garlic.
C'mon, lets get messy.
Score half an avocado.
Using your thumb, separate the flesh from the skin. Do this with several more avocados. I used three avocados.
Add some freshly squeezed lime juice.
Smush it all up and add some finely chopped onion,
and spices. I used powdered chile because I was out of fresh and added some cumin.
Here's my glamor shot. I'm still practicing with lights and settings. Looks like I need_a lot_more practice.
At least it tasted terrific.

Thank you for this beautiful post! We have linked to this recipe under Avocados on our site... and the pics look great -- I like the ones in context rather than the glamor shot in my humble opinion, it is always hard to get the right color representation! Thanks!
